You must try Roseanna's oceanfront restaurant on the main drag in Oceanside. It's a little spendy and you shouldn't go when you're in a hurry, but it's well worth the time and the money. It was written up in Sunset Magazine as being one of the best oceanfront restaurants on the Coast. I can just taste their warm marionberry cobbler with ice cream. Or the seafood cioppino. Or the special I once enjoyed which was halibut poached in pear-gorgonzola sauce with crunchy roasted hazelnuts... mmmm. The Anchor Inn across the street is a friendly "Cheers"type tavern with a few gaming machines for rainy day entertainment. A separate room for family dining with stunning ocean views and warm hardwood floors. The chef is an accomplished culinary artist whose fare comes highly recommended.

The Oceanside Espresso shop by the cabins has ice cream cones & yummy treats & lunch snacks like quiches & homemade soups. And they serve Tillamook ice cream cones...the best in the world!

In Netarts, Rachel's is great for breakfast with huge home made cinnamon rolls and perfect cheese omelettes and homemade biscuits. Cozy & intimate with good home-cooking.

Josi's Deli on Crab Ave in Netarts has great sandwiches, pizza & pastries & sometimes fresh Netarts Bay Oysters in the shell & Dungeness Crab.

The Schooner, by the bay boat landing, has a hard liquor bar and the restaurant has a bay view and a fabulous wood-burning pizza oven. The portobello mushroom pizza with creamy cheese sauce is my favorite - the homemade crust is scrumptious.

Michko's Tavern features an outdoor dining area, weather permitting, of course. The burgers are excellent and the atmosphere is fun and entertaining. Clam chowder's among the best.

If you're in the mood for the best french fries West of the Pecos, drive down Three Capes Scenic Loop toward Cape Lookout to the south end of the bay and stop in at The Whiskey Creek Cafe. Kendra makes hand-cut fries from Yukon Gold potatoes & serves them up with her special fry sauce. So fattening, but such a treat. Anything on her menu is fresh, original, tasty & abundant. Tempting pies, too. All can be enjoyed in a relaxing, kid-friendly atmosphere, with a bay view.

Last, but far from least, Brewin' in the Wind Espresso Stand in Netarts serves up some fabulous homemade soups and/or crab sandwiches to go with your joe. Just check out their specials board as you drive by - you'll be hooked.
